We strive daily to have the best communications possible between our client’s properties and our offices in order to deliver timely, accurate information to you.

Our mission is to provide you with the best possible data management and processing solution for your hotel. In doing so, our goal is to greatly reduce the amount of time spent by your staff on bookkeeping tasks.

We work in teams to provide the information you need when you need it to more effectively and profitably manage your properties.

Data Processing Team

The data processing team understands the principle of “Garbage In, Garbage Out”.

Great care is given to the data we receive from our clients. A computer can do only what it is programmed to do and is only as good as the data it receives and instruction it is given.

Some of the responsibilities of the data management team include:

Daily onsite/offsite data backups
Review of all invoices received
Interaction with client representatives on timeliness of invoices received
Coding of all invoices received for proper period and expense classifications
Monitoring of contracted vendor invoices received
Processing of invoices received
Timeliness and posting of monthly recurring invoices for taxes, mortgages, etc.
Retrieval and posting of daily business from night audit files
Interaction with client representative on invoices to be paid
Processing invoices to be paid
Electronic delivery of checks to client for signature and distribution

The Data Processing Team oversees the processing of Daily Business, Bank Deposits, Invoicing and Checks.

Data Analysis Team

The data analysis team is in close communication with the data processing team for any clarifications needed and verification of receipt of all time sensitive material from client.

Some of the responsibilities of the data analysis team include:

Review weekly period to date postings and verify with internal control setup for client
Retrieval and recording of payroll
Review weekly bank deposits report submitted by client with FOCUS G/L and verify online banking
Review and record credit card commissions
Review and record other automatic bank deductions
Prepare weekly month-to-date daily recap report to owners
Prepare weekly cash position report for owners
Review interim bank statements
Record monthly checks returned from bank and prepare outstanding check listing
Reconciliation of bank statements
Reconciliation of credit card statements
Process standard recurring payables
Process standard recurring journal entries

The Data Analysis Team oversees the processing of Payroll Results, Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations.

Financial Review Team

The financial review team approves all work completed monthly by the data management and analysis teams in accordance with internal control guidelines.

Some of the responsibilities of the financial analysis and reporting team include:

Review of work completed to date
Interaction with third party accountants
Provide accountants with monthly distribution listing of fixed assets
Recording of monthly depreciation and amortization
Provide accountants with preliminary financial statements
Recording of any adjusting journal entries deemed appropriate by accounting
Electronic delivery of financial statements to ownership

The Financial Review Team oversees the processes of General Ledger Review and Financial Report Distribution.

Customer Service Team

Focus “family values” management philosophy employs the same principle that we apply to customer service and support.
